General Conditions of Sale

The general conditions of sale apply to the services provided by the establishment: any reservation implies acceptance on the part of the client of these present conditions. Only the specific agreement clauses signed with the client can complete, specify or contravene these present conditions of sale.

Prices
The prices are given in Euros and include VAT. Meals are quoted and prepared on a per person basis.
The applicable prices are those that are in effect at the moment of the reservation. However, if the reservation is made more than six months before the date of the service, Les Noces de Jeannette reserves the right to apply the prices in effect at the time of the service by giving notice thereof in the business proposal.
It is up to the client to evaluate if the price suits them by accepting its fixed nature at the time of the reservation. No disputes about the price of the service will be taken into consideration at any later date.

Confirmation of the reservation
All bookings are only effective and confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 70% of the price of the service, accompanied by the return of the quote or business proposal, clearly marked with 'approved'.
The establishment will only confirm the reservation and guarantee its service upon receipt of the deposit and after its trouble-free cashing.

Confirmation of the menu
The business proposal or quote may include a choice between various menus.
In order to fully satisfy our clients, they should confirm their final choice with the restaurant at least six days before the service is to take place.
After this time, the restaurant will not be able to guarantee the availability of certain dishes or wines on the menu.

Partial cancellation of the number of guests

The client must confirm the final number of guests at the very latest three days before the service is to take place.

Changes to the number of guests up to three days before the date of the service:

  • If the number of guests being cancelled is less than 10% of the total number of guests, the client will be billed based on the number of confirmed guests ;
  • With a cancellation of more than 10% of the number of total guests, the client will be billed 70% of the initial per person price, multiplied by the number of cancelled guests as a cancellation fee.

For any modifications made three days or less before the date of the service, no matter the number of guests being cancelled or who are not present on the day of the service, the cancellation fee will constitute 100% of the per person price given in the initial quote, multiplied by the number of cancelled guests.

A superior number of guests to that provided during the booking

If the number of guests exceeds the original number provided, the bill will be supplemented on a per-extra-guest basis as indicated in the initial quote or business proposition.

However, in the case of an excessive number of additional guests:

  • Les Noces de Jeannette will not be held responsible for any potential impact on the quality of the service;
  • it the number of additional guests means the restaurant's capacity is exceeded, Les Noces de Jeannette will be obliged to refuse the reception of the additional guests and under no circumstances will it be held responsible or questioned because of the refusal of additional guests for reasons of safety.

Cancellations made by Les Noces de Jeannette
Any cancellation made by Les Noces de Jeannette, except for cases of force majeure, will result in the reimbursement of any amount of money paid as a deposit, excluding any other indemnity.
Les Noces de Jeannette restaurant can disengage from its obligations or suspend its actions in any event beyond its control that hinders its normal operations, such as complete or partial striking of its suppliers, subcontractors or carriers, interruption of transportation, energy or raw material supplies or in the case of force majeure (war, riots, protests, disasters affecting the restaurant facilities…)

Provision of the service
On the day of the service, the guests must arrive at the restaurant at the agreed time. In the event of guests being late, the restaurant reserves the right to keep the guests waiting. If guests are over an hour late, the reservation will no longer be guaranteed.
No complaints regarding the provision of the service will be received after this date.

Additional services that are not included in the quote or business proposal
Any additional services that are not included in the reservation, for example drinks or dishes, will feature on an additional bill, to be paid on the same day the service takes place.

The responsibility of the client
The client is deemed to have purchased liability insurance for any potential damages caused by their guests at the time the service takes place, whether the damage is inflicted on other guests who are present or the restaurant's property. The client will be the only responsible party for all losses, breakages or damages that may be caused by their guests to the property or equipment that belongs to the restaurant, or those that are made available to the client through a rental agreement.
Under no circumstances does the restaurant take any responsibility in the case of any damage or theft of valuables, handbags, wallets, clothing, etc. that belong to the guests, or any goods that are left in the rooms.

Means of payment
In certain cases where it is agreed upon in advance with the client in the quote or business proposal, the bill will be presented on the same day as the service and must be paid in person at the end of said service.
In any event, billing of the service will be done at the very latest by the end of the month by accounting and should be paid in full upon receipt of the bill.
Any pending amounts that have not been paid by the due date stated on the bill will by right and without prior notice result in late payment penalties equal to one and a half times the legal interest rate.
Any disputed regarding billing will only be taken into account in the eight days following the mailing date of the invoice.

Payment by voucher or gift certificate
This means of payment is only applicable to companies under contract with Les Noces de Jeannette.
The guide or tour leader of the group will present the restaurant with a voucher that corresponds to the order. No modifications to said voucher will be accepted without prior approval from the restaurant management. All 'extras' must be paid in person on the day of the service.

Assignment of jurisdiction
Upon the failure of an amicable settlement of any dispute or disagreement regarding the interpretation or application of these current terms and conditions, Paris Commercial Court will have exclusive jurisdiction.
